2. You can find a bronze statue of the Fonz from Happy Days down on RiverWalk. On warm days, there's plenty of walking to do in downtown Milwaukee and this is a great photo opportunity for locals and visitors!
3. We have a spectacular Art Museum that moves and was featured in movies! In one of the Transformers movies, they featured the Milwaukee Art Museum!
4. Did you know the standard QWERTY typewriter was invented right here in Milwaukee? It was created by local inventor named Christopher Latham Sholes and he called it the "typewriting machine." It quickly caught fire as an amazing invention and gave way to mass information production!
5. We have a larger ice rink than New York's Time Square! It's true! The downtown ice rink in Milwaukee in Red Arrow can fit 100+ people on it and even has a nice Starbucks nearby for that hot chocolate when you get cold.
6. We have the oldest soccer team in the USA. The Milwaukee Wave have been around since 1984 which is when indoor soccer was first created.
7. Milwaukee businessmen Joseph Zimmerman and George Danner created the first "voicemail machine." Although it went through many upgrades by other inventors, the first concept was created right here in Milwaukee.
8. Milwaukee hosts the world's largest musical festival every year - Summerfest! If you've never been, it's incredible!
9. Milwaukee has the oldest certified bowling alley. Yes, the Holler House is officially the oldest bowling lanes in the country. It's definitely more of a visiting place these days, but you can still roll a ball if you want to!
